Rafał Olejniczak, General Manager of 3M Global Service Center Poland, has been recognized globally under Operational Excellence Leader of the Year category. Rafał was invited to the OPEX Week: Business Transformation World Summit 2018 in Orlando (Florida), and has been recognized a finalist among Top 6 Global leaders in Operational Excellence Worldwide.

Central Europe, with its dynamic growth, as well as economic and political stability, has been attracting a growing number of investors who consider it as an excellent location. Poland is by far the largest country in the region and has also the largest pool of highly-qualified human capital. As Wrocław is one of the fastest developing cities in the country, 3M Company, an American multinational corporation based in Maplewood, (Minnesota), decided to follow the global trend and open its very first Global Service Center here in 2015.

3M Global Service Center Poland was established with the objective focus on Finance, Sourcing, HR, Master Data and IT operations. But very soon it has proven its value and expanded the operations to Business Services and Intercompany operations. Having such diverse portfolio, the Center still managed to establish a worthy of appreciation standard operating model. One of the key factors of their success is the connection with the service industry, benchmarks and appraisal.

Only within the first two years of operations on the Polish market, 3M Global Service Center Poland succeeded not only in developing a very effective operating model, service improvement and high-class methodologies but also proved to be one of the best employers in the region. In 2017 the center was recognized locally and regionally by Great Place to Work, ABSL and SSON. It also started its journey with Process Excellence (PEX) Network, a global community for process professionals, business leaders and executives who want to improve their businesses through process and operational excellence.

The Center started collaboration with PEX in 2017 by taking part in workshops, benchmarking and appraisals. This time PEX Awards assessed the center at the European round of awards followed by global round of awards in the following categories:

  • Best Improvement Program Deployment
  • Best Improvement Project Deployment
  • Best Technology-Enabled Process Improvement Project
  • Best Project Contributing to Customer Excellence
  • Most Innovative Approach to Driving Culture Change
  • Operational Excellence Leader of the Year

3M Global Service Center Poland has been recognized again – this time at the global level. Rafał Olejniczak has been recognized globally and the only one representing Europe under Operational Excellence Leader of the Year category. Rafał was invited to the OPEX Week: Business Transformation World Summit 2018 in Orlando (Florida), and has been recognized a finalist among Top 6 Global leaders in Operational Excellence Worldwide.

3M Global Service Center Poland being based in Wrocław – one of the fastest developing cities in the country – has perfect conditions to create an excellent ecosystem for business, professional and personal development. Staying well-connected and open to its counterparts in the city, the Center can boast of highly qualified employees, best practices, as well as its network and knowledge sharing opportunities.
